NORTHWOOD, OH – This weekend, Ohioans were reminded of Fat Cat Bernie Moreno’s record of “stiffing workers” – in addition to the “slew of lawsuits for workers’ wages and workplace discrimination” he has faced and his lies about selling the Chinese-made Buick Envision, which contributed to Ohio jobs being “shipped overseas.”

  • Mr. Moreno’s record as a car dealership owner has been scrutinized throughout his campaign. Mr. Moreno has faced a slew of lawsuits for workers’ wages and workplace discrimination.
  • When Mr. Moreno started hitting the campaign trail, he said he did not sell the China-made Buick Envision, which was later disproved.
  • Just outside the entrance of Local 50 was a blow-up “fat cat” to symbolize greedy bosses, put there by the Ohio Democratic Party.

Columbus, OH – It’s been nothing but bad news this week for Wolverine Bernie Moreno after new reporting from the Ohio Capital Journal found that Moreno is lying about having an MBA from the University of ❌ichigan. Plus, new reporting revealed Moreno “sought and signed off on $40 million worth of Mercedes-Benz financing” to open a new car dealership as Moreno continues to be “chide[d]” for his “return to the auto industry.”

💰 $40 MIL FOR MORENO: New reporting revealed Bernie Moreno “sought and signed off on $40 million worth of Mercedes-Benz financing” to open a new car dealership in Sunbury despite telling Ohioans “for more than a year that he sold off business interests.” This brings the total to $50 million – $9.5 million on land in Delaware County and $40 million in financing – that Moreno is spending to “return to the auto industry” as Ohioans are “chid[ing]” him for his record of mistreating his employees.

  • 3News has found that at least two different organizations have listed that Republican nominee Bernie Moreno earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration after graduating from the University of Michigan.
  • Moreno served on the board of the Cleveland Foundation from 2014-18, and the organization’s Fall/Winter 2014 magazine included that Moreno had earned a Master of Business Administration from Michigan…
  • Prior to this, a 2011 application included in a lawsuit about his car dealership in Florida also listed that he earned an MBA from Michigan in 1991.
  • But the university registrar’s office confirmed to 3News that the only degree Moreno has earned from the school is a bachelor’s degree.

Columbus, OH – One day after the Ohio Capital Journal reported that Bernie Moreno is lying about having an MBA from the University of Michigan, State Sen. Bill DeMora and the OSU College Dems released the following statements:

“It is bad enough that Bernie ❌oreno brags about having one degree fro❌ ❌ichigan, but the new reports that prove he is lying about having an ❌BA fro❌ that school up North are disqualifying,” said Ohio State Senator Bill DeMora. “Anyone who lies about having a ❌ade-up-business-degree fro❌ ❌ichigan has no business representing Ohioans. Go Bucks.”

“If Bernie ❌oreno wanted to lie about having an ❌BA, why would he lie about having one from ❌ichigan?,” said the OSU College Dems.
