We had a busy week on the campaign trail, so let’s jump right in.

I’m sorry, he said what?

Buckle up, friend. This is a doozy. 

According to a new bombshell report from Vice News, J.D. Vance suggests people in violent marriages shouldn’t get divorced. In fact, J.D. hates divorce so much, he claimed it makes it easier for people to “shift spouses like they change their underwear.” 

Here’s the deal: I’m not married, and I only change my underwear once a day. So, maybe I’m not the target audience? Still, I’m pretty sure 99.9% of Ohioans don’t agree with J.D. on this one. 

You might not believe a candidate for US Senate would make such a dumb remark, but you’d be wrong. If you don’t believe me, you can watch the entire clip right here.

This couldn’t come at a worse time for Vance. As of late, his campaign has been nothing short of a broke dumpster fire. To pay off his campaign’s debt, Vance recently decided to start taking corporate PAC money. It’s just the latest reversal for Vance, who has also changed his position on Trump, antisemitism, racism, gun violence prevention, being a member of the elite, defending members of the elite, trade deals, Big Tech and white privilege. 

J.D. is a fraud, but don’t doubt, he’s dangerous. Please help us send Tim Ryan to the US Senate.

Mike DeWine: America’s Most Extreme Governor Against Women

Once again, Mike DeWine – the most anti-choice governor in the country – is trying to hide from his long-standing record of ripping away reproductive rights from women in Ohio. After scrubbing his website of all anti-abortion language, DeWine told a group of reporters he wants to “let the [abortion] debate play out” when asked about his views on legislation that would make abortion 100% illegal in Ohio. 

This is the same Mike DeWine who told an anti-abortion group he wants to “go as far as we can” to rip away abortion rights in Ohio and signed an executive order, mere hours after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, implementing one of the most extreme six-week abortion bans in the country, with no exceptions for rape or incest. 

Mike DeWine is a nut case when it comes to abortion and we’re going to make sure everyone knows it.

CHEERS & JEERS 

CHEERS to our favorite Senator, Sherrod Brown, for his leadership in getting the CHIPS and Science Act passed in the United States Senate. The bill was then passed by the House of Representatives with the help of Congressman Tim Ryan and our amazing Democratic delegation. The bill now heads to President Biden for his signature.

When President Biden signs this bill into law, 3,000 good-paying jobs are likely to be created in Ohio. 

JEERS to Mike DeWine and J.D Vance, who just sat and watched Mitch McConnell as he almost blocked this historic investment in America’s infrastructure and Ohio’s workers. They are THE WORST.

DeWine Ducks Debates AGAIN

Nan officially challenged Governor DeWine to a series of debates around Ohio. 

After dodging Republican opponents in the primary, he is once again dodging Nan because he knows he will lose. DeWine would rather hide than show up to defend his policies. 

Cowardice at its worst.

Our organizing team kicked off its first weekly phone bank program to support Nan Whaley and Cheryl Stephens.

Volunteers made over 1000 calls in support of our team for Governor and Lt. Governor.
