Ohio Democrats Launch the “Organizing For Ohio” Coordinated Campaign To Re-Elect Sherrod Brown, Democrats Across Ohio
May 30, 2024
Columbus, OH — Today, the Ohio Democratic Party launched “Organizing For Ohio,” a coordinated campaign of grassroots organizers and volunteers who will speak directly to voters across Ohio to help re-elect U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown and Democratic candidates up and down the ballot in 2024 – from statewide to local offices.
“Fighting for the Dignity of Work means making sure hard work pays off for everyone,” said Senator Sherrod Brown. “The Organizing For Ohio coordinated campaign will work to reach voters in all 88 counties and organize in communities across Ohio. With the grassroots support of Ohioans behind us, we’ll continue our fight to stand up to special interests and level the playing field for Ohio workers.”
“With so much at stake in Ohio in 2024 – from re-electing Sherrod Brown and our U.S. House candidates to flipping the Ohio Supreme Court and picking up seats in Ohio’s legislature – we aren’t taking any community in Ohio for granted. We’re talking to voters across the state, showing them we’re on their side and making sure they have a plan to vote this November,” said Ohio Democratic Party Chair Elizabeth Walters.
The Organizing For Ohio campaign is made up of a diverse group of organizers that have extensive experience working in Ohio. The campaign has already hired more than 60 staff who are helping to open field offices across the state, build volunteer teams, and talk directly to Ohio voters.
“The Organizing For Ohio campaign is made up of passionate, experienced organizers who have already hit the ground running to re-elect Sherrod Brown and Ohio Democrats this fall. With the support of our partners and so many Ohioans across the state, we’re ready to organize Ohio and win in November,” said Mariah Gould, Organizing For Ohio Coordinated Campaign Director.
Since January of 2024, the Organizing For Ohio coordinated campaign has been harnessing the momentum of Democrats’ successful 2023 ballot measures to build the infrastructure necessary to re-elect Sherrod Brown and candidates up and down the ballot. Over the coming weeks and months, the Organizing For Ohio campaign will continue working with volunteers to reach as many voters as possible and make sure Ohioans have a plan to vote ahead of the November election.
Ohioans interested in volunteering should sign up here.
