The Ohio Democratic Party supports 88 county Democratic parties, which drive most year-round community engagement and local election activity. Getting involved with your county party is the most effective way to make change where you live and help Democrats win.
Every county party is volunteer-led and structured slightly differently. Ohio law establishes that the foundation of every county party is a central committee of ward and precinct leaders elected by Ohioans in even-year primary elections. The central committee in turn elects officers such as a county party chair.
