“Back of the Pack” And “Don’t Believe Us, Just Read” The Mess Surrounding Mike DeWine’s Campaign This Week

Good Monday afternoon, and welcome back to Mike Check, your weekly source of all the infighting, conspiracy spewing and corruption that’s making headlines in and around Mike DeWine’s campaign and statehouse, courtesy of the Ohio Democratic Party.

BACK OF THE PACK. We’ll cut right to the chase again this week. As early voting gets underway in just two days, Mike DeWine continues to make it clear he simply doesn’t care about Ohio voters. Last week, we outlined how DeWine would attempt to rewrite his entire record by making it seem like he cares about Ohio families. In reality, the results of his time in office tell a radically different story. This week, more results show how DeWine left Ohio families high and dry to pander to his special interest pals. Here are two more lists Ohio finds itself on the bottom of, thanks to DeWine’s lack of leadership.
- Unemployment assistance – Ohio was third-worst state for paying unemployment promptly during the COVID pandemic
- COVID family assistance – Ohio now ranks among the bottom 13 states for getting cash in the hands of families that need it.
MIKE DEWINE IS FULL OF SHIT. Ohio Democrats have had it with Mike DeWine’s cheap campaign antics when it comes to constantly taking credit for Democratic victories and then using them as political attacks at the same time. All this as he plays the hypocrite card and calls out Nan Whaley for supporting the SAME funding. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s a long list of times DeWine has campaigned off the American Rescue Plan in just the last few months. Yes, the exact same American Rescue Plan he went on the record to oppose saying if he were still in the Senate, he’d vote against it. So yes, Mike DeWine is simply full of shit because he has no record to run on, showing exactly how ineffective his time in office has been.
DON’T BELIEVE US, JUST READ. If you’re still not sure about Mike DeWine’s weak record ahead of early voting beginning on Wednesday, the USA Today Network of Ohio has you covered. On issue after issue, DeWine is on the wrong side of working families. His whole agenda is focused on making Ohio less safe, stripping away Ohioans’ rights, giving tax cuts to his special interest friends and flat-out failing Ohio families.
