What Ohioans Are Reading: Frank LaRose is a “Sore Loser” “Clearly Biased in Favor of His Party and Friends”
September 17, 2024
Columbus, OH- In case you missed it, Ohio’s biggest Loser Frank LaRose has made plenty of headlines recently. And with all that (highly partisan) activity, Ohioans have been hearing a lot about what he’s been up to.
From testifying before Congress on how to make voting harder across the country, to losing a lawsuit about legislation he pushed that unfairly targeted voters with disabilities, and asking the legislature to consider eliminating ballot drop boxes, LaRose has done everything, but his job.
Check out what Ohioans are reading about Loser LaRose’s latest lies.
Cleveland.com, Katie Paris and Emily Schriver: Sorry, Frank LaRose. Voters are smarter than you think: Ohioans […] don’t have time for political nonsense. Yet that’s exactly what we’re witnessing, again and again, when it comes to the simple idea that everyday Ohioans should have a voice in political decision-making. Secretary of State Frank LaRose and his political friends seem to think frightening and confusing voters is the only way they can score political wins — and they’ve been running this playbook for years now.
WVXU, Howard Wilkinson: Analysis: Frank LaRose changes the rules for using ballot drop boxes ahead of November election: You would think that after losing so many political battles in the past few years, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose would be used to it. But this latest one, coming off a federal court ruling that Ohio voters with disabilities should have better opportunities to cast ballots, has really set him off.
Cleveland.com, Jeff Darcy: LaRose lambasts League of Women Voters, Ballot Boxes: Darcy cartoon – cleveland.com: Is LaRose just a sore loser who now wants to make it harder for us to vote? He lost his U.S. Senate bid to J.D. Vance and has since been showing the same cold touch with women that Vance has on the campaign trail. Talk about “weird.” A main duty of the Secretary of State is to get out the vote, not vanquish it.
Ohio Capital Journal, Marty Schladen: Sec of State LaRose says it’s easy to vote in Ohio, but critics say he’s making it more difficult Secretary of State Frank LaRose is fond of saying that “it’s easy to vote and hard to cheat” in Ohio elections. He’s supposed to conduct elections neutrally, but the things he’s done concerning the state’s extreme partisan gerrymandering are clearly biased in favor of his own party and his friends, the watchdog said.
