This Week in #OHGov: Another Week, Another Scam
August 7, 2026
Columbus, Ohio- This week, Ohioans heard even more about Vivek Ramaswamy’s policy scams and his plans to be the most pro-data center governor in state history. Additionally, Ramaswamy is still facing fallout from the viral video of him getting booed off the stage at a grassroots conservative conference.
Data Center Deception: Vivek Ramaswamy rolled out his latest policy scam, and this time he’s lying to Ohioans about his stance on data centers. After publicly praising data center expansion on numerous occasions, Ramaswamy is now lying about his stance in a desperate attempt to save his struggling campaign.
Ramaswamy has millions invested in data centers and is once again putting his financial portfolio ahead of the needs of Ohioans. He has repeatedly said he wants more data centers in Ohio and praised them as “good” and a “good thing.” In just over one month, he praised data centers on 10 separate occasions.
Winners vs. Whiners: During remarks at the 2026 Young Americans for Liberty National Convention in Cincinnati, Vivek Ramaswamy was booed off the stage after telling young people his generation had already made it and would be just fine. Ramaswamy is already known for calling Ohioans lazy and mediocre and his dim views of the state he’s running to lead are obvious. No wonder he’s still going viral for getting booed off stage.
