Coordinated Campaign Operations Associate
Summary: In 2024, Ohio is a frontline battleground state with competitive races up and down the ballot. Ohio must re-elect Senator Sherrod Brown in what will be the nation’s top targeted race in 2024, determining the control of the US Senate. This year will also offer the chance to take control of the Ohio Supreme Court, make gains in the state legislature, and defend three battleground congressional seats. In the Ohio Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign, the Operations Department will be critical to the success of all Democratic campaigns. Operations leads logistical and human resource support for each department within the campaign and ensures efficient execution of the goals and projects.
The Operations Associate will expand the capacity of the campaign by completing tasks and projects set out by the Operations Director and Deputy Directors. This role will also interface with staff from other departments. Collaboration and strong logistical skills are essential for this role. This position is full time and based in-person in Columbus, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Help the Operations Department in providing day-to-day logistical support for the Ohio Coordinated Campaign
- Use digital tools to track schedules, supply orders and inventory, and other essential functions.
- Deliver materials and supplies to field offices around the state of Ohio as needed.
- Assist in tracking and responding to supply requests from field staff around the state of Ohio.
- Assist in Headquarters office management tasks as needed.
- Execute special projects and assist in other Operations Department tasks as needed.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- 1 cycle of campaign experience, or 1+ year of experience in advocacy, administrative work, or a related operations role. Previous experience on a political campaign preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, communication skills, intense attention to detail, and a passion for efficiency.
- Willingness to travel around the state on a frequent basis.
- Proficiency with Google Suite.
- Dedication to supporting the Ohio Democratic Party in electing Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.

The Operations Associate reports to a designated Deputy Operations Director and is represented by IBEW Local 1466. This position is salaried at $4,200 per month and provides full benefits, including PTO as needed, health, dental, voluntary vision insurance, and a monthly $50 cell phone stipend. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle. Housing will not be provided.
