Conservative Radio Host: J.D. Vance Is Running A “Horrible Campaign,” Needs To “Get Off His Ass”

Caller: “Where is J.D. Vance?”
Columbus, OH – Yesterday, Ron Verb, a Youngstown radio host, tore into J.D. Vance for his “horrible campaign,” and said he needs to “get off his ass and start moving.” Over the course of the two-hour live show, numerous callers dialed in to pile on about Vance’s abysmal campaign and the fact that hardly anyone in Ohio has seen him since last month’s primary.
Ron Verb said (at the 33-minute mark), “And once again I’ll tell J.D. Vance, ‘Get off your ass and start running some ads and get moving.’ I sit here… But this guy needs to get off his ass and get moving. It’s a horrible campaign so far that he’s doing.”
Here are some other gems from yesterday’s show (titled “Where is J.D. Vance?”):
- One caller chimed in (at the 49-minute mark), “Where is J.D. Vance?” He continued, “Whoever’s running his campaign needs to get fired immediately… he’s [Vance’s] gonna lose if he doesn’t step it up.”
- Another caller actually reached (at the 59-minute mark) out to Vance’s campaign to beg him to show some signs of life in public.
It’s not the first time Vance has been called out for his abysmal campaign. In the primary, Ben Shapiro called out Vance for his pandering in the Republican primary that he believed would hurt the party’s chances in November and said he is “deeply worried” about Republicans losing the race because of the lackluster field of candidates.
This is the latest fissure in a still-fractured GOP in the wake of Vance’s lackluster win, which Vance himself has admitted left “a lot of Republican voters with hurt feelings.”
