COLUMBUS – The Ohio Democratic Party Hispanic/Latino Caucus today congratulated Lisa Canales on her election to the Washington Local School District Board of Education in Lucas County, Angel Arroyo on his election to Lorain City Council and City Council President Joel Arredondo on his re-election in Lorain.
“We send our support and congratulations to fellow Hispanic/Latino Caucus member Lisa Canales on her electoral victory,” said Isabel Framer, advisory board chair of the Ohio Democratic Party Hispanic/Latino Caucus. “It’s a testament to her hard work and commitment to public service that Lisa was the top vote-getter in her race. We know she will be an amazing advocate for the community and a champion for high-quality public education.”
“As Democrats work to elect great public servants up and down the ticket, we are proud those public servants represent the diversity of our state,” said state Rep. Dan Ramos. “We are thrilled that Lorain will have great leaders like Council President Joel Arredondo and Councilman-Elect Angel Arroyo, who will represent their community and be an inspiration to all Latino Ohioans.”
