Ohio Democratic Party Communications Team Adds Press Secretary Rachel Coyle

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Democratic Party is expanding its communications team, adding Rachel Coyle as press secretary for the 2018 election cycle.

“With a toss-up special election in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District happening in a month, a toss-up race for governor, critical statewide and legislative races being targeted by the National Democratic Redistricting Committee and incredibly competitive races at the federal, state and local level, we’re seeing unprecedented energy from the grassroots and momentum swinging toward Ohio Democrats,” said Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper. “Our candidates are on a mission to fix Columbus and Washington and fight for every Ohioan to have a fair shake. We’re excited to welcome Rachel Coyle to our communications team, as Democrats make the case that we are the party of a brighter future for Ohio.”

Prior to joining the Ohio Democratic Party, Coyle was communications director for the Joe Schiavoni for Governor campaign, deputy communications director for the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus and communications director for the Cathy Johnson for Ohio Senate campaign. Coyle is a native of Toledo, a graduate of American University and the Ohio State University and the John Glenn Civic Leadership Council’s 2011 “Outstanding Member.”
