Ohio Democratic Party Announces 2017 Legacy Dinner — A Tribute to Sen. John Glenn

Sen. Sherrod Brown, Announced Democratic Candidates for Governor Will Speak

COLUMBUS — In what will be the first official event to feature Ohio Democrats’ announced candidates for governor, the Ohio Democratic Party will hold its 2017 Legacy Dinner — a tribute to Sen. John Glenn — on Saturday, April 22, at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus.

“John Glenn was a great American, a Marine, a decorated fighter pilot, an astronaut, a U.S. Senator — and he was also a great Ohio Democrat,” said Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper. “We find ourselves in a time when corrosive politics rules supreme, and civility and humble patriotism feel like relics of a bygone era. As we gear up for the critical 2018 elections, with everything on the line, it’s all the more appropriate that we are guided by Senator Glenn’s life and legacy.”

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown will be the dinner’s featured speaker.
