Coordinated Campaign Voter Access Fellows
Summary: In 2024, Ohio is a frontline battleground state with competitive races up and down the ballot. Ohio must re-elect Senator Sherrod Brown in what will be the nation’s top targeted race in 2024, determining the control of the US Senate. This year will also offer the chance to take control of the Ohio Supreme Court, make gains in the state legislature, and defend three battleground congressional seats. The Organizing for Ohio Coordinated Campaign Voter Access team will be fundamental to the success of Democratic campaigns at every level, by supporting an innovative, data-driven statewide plan to address the various barriers to casting a ballot in Ohio.
The Ohio Democratic Coordinated Campaign, Organizing for Ohio, will be executing a 9-week paid Voter Access fellowship program. Voter Access fellows will start on a rolling basis after September 9th, 2024.
Voter Access Fellows should have the following qualifications:
- A passion for progressive values, electing Democratic candidates up and down the ballow, and protecting voting access in Ohio
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to handle multiple takes, employ creative problem-solving, and be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Willingness to work in a busy campaign office and in a virtual environment
- Must have access to a laptop and cell phone
Description of Duties:
Fellows will work 10-15 hours per week, will be paid at a rate of $15 an hour, and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Voter Access volunteer recruitment
- Voter Access volunteer training and technical support
- Special projects as assigned
