Dave Yost Waging The ‘Culture Wars’ From The Attorney General’s Office

COLUMBUS — After vowing to defend Ohio’s latest unconstitutional abortion ban and filing court arguments on behalf of gun lobbyists, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is again using his office to wage the ‘culture wars,’ joining a case arguing against using civil rights laws to protect LGBTQ+ people from discrimination.

“Ohio hasn’t seen this type of politicization of the attorney general’s office since Mike DeWine, who spent millions in taxpayer money fighting against marriage equality before it became the law of the land,” said Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper. “Instead of focusing on the people’s business, Dave Yost is using taxpayer resources to defend unconstitutional laws, do special favors for lobbyists and now to help the Trump administration with its anti-LGBTQ agenda. Dave Yost should stop using taxpayer resources on his personal political pet projects.”
