Ohio Democratic Party Names Justin Barasky Press Secretary

COLUMBUS – Today, the Ohio Democratic Party announced Justin Barasky has joined its team as Press Secretary.

A native of Cuyahoga County, Barasky is a graduate of Solon High School and Ohio University. He has deep roots in Ohio politics, including working for former Governor Ted Strickland, Judge Bill O’Neill, and Congressman Charlie Wilson’s successful write-in campaign in 2006. He also worked as the Nevada Press Secretary for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Most recently, he worked as the Rapid Response Director for Senator Reid’s reelection campaign.

"I'm thrilled to be back in my home state of Ohio and excited to join the most active, and well-organized state party in the country," said Barasky. "I look forward to helping reelect Senator Sherrod Brown as well as Democrats across the state.”

Ohio Democratic Party Communications Director Seth Bringman added, "We are happy to have Justin on our team. He comes to us with a number of tough campaigns under his belt and his many years in the Buckeye State will play a key role in ensuring Democratic victories in 2012."
